It's a physical card that has a unique URL printed on it that allows someone to retrieve a digital file. It's like a business card for bands and labels. It's a lot easier to carry around 20 download cards than it is to carry around 20 CDs. You can have them on you at all times. Bring them to shows, parties, bars, and give them out to potential fans.
When using a website as your download page, your fans will see the site you picked while they're downloading your music. When they're done, the site will be there waiting for them. To see an example, click here.
When using a custom download page, you can provide links to your Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, website, and more. Your fans see these links while they're downloading your music. To see an example, click here.
It costs $0.01 per 20MB. If you have a 40MB file and want 500 cards, it'll cost $10.00.
Absolutely! On step four of the card creator, just click the link that says "upload lossless audio instead". You can upload your tracks as FLAC, WAV, of AIFF. Additionally, you can upload album extras like PDFs, images, and text files. We'll convert your lossless audio into five formats and let your fans pick which they want. For an example of what your fans will see, click here.
The lossless audio option still costs the same $0.01 per 20MB. So if you upload 80MB to us and want 250 cards, it'll cost $10.00.
Yes! You can order any number of cards, there aren't set increments. You can order a single card or 15,000 cards. It's up to you.
No problem! In Step 3, right below where you enter your "Band, Album, Song, etc", you can choose between having all Unique Codes, and having One Code. This means that every card will have the same URL. Works great for reducing printing costs and sharing your music on Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr. Something important to note, no matter which style you choose, the number of cards bought, represents the number of downloads you get.
There is a minimum order price of $10.00, but there isn't a minimum number of cards you must order.
Your cards are emailed to you within minutes of completing your order.
Yes! Most mobile devices don't have this capability though, so by default we show them the message that they can't. But if they contact you and tell you that their mobile device, does indeed allow downloading AND unzipping, you can tell them to add "?m" to the end of their code url, and it will allow them to download. For example, if their code url is ".com/123abc", they would change it to ".com/123abc?m".
Yes, there is! Just click the link in your original order confirmation email and at the bottom of the page will be a link to order additional cards for your existing download. Please note that even if you use a different PayPal address for a reorder, the new cards will be emailed to the original order's email address.
The PDF of your cards is laid out in two columns on a standard 8.5" x 11" (letter) page. The width is fixed, but the height of the cards depend on the size of your logo. If you upload a very tall logo or type a lot of text, the cards will be taller. This means that less cards will fit on a page and there will be more total pages in your PDF. The best way to see this is to test a design to see how it fits on the PDF with our free card creator.
Every page of the PDF is laid out exactly the same way and contains grid lines for easy cutting. This means you can bring the PDF to any print or copy business and have them print and cut the cards for you.
No problem! After you place an order, you'll receive a ZIP file containing the PDF of your cards as well as a CSV file containing the unique download URLs.
